Fantastic, amazing location just off the living areas and kitchen, the centre of town, ideal location, and restaurants and supermarkets.

Location: the hotel was just off New Zealand, supermarket and shops and other aspects of New Plymouth excellent. Plenty of restaurants to eat close by, like State Pasta that was only 5 minutes' walk away....  

This hotel is a great choice for exploring the area. Its location near all the supermarkets and within walking distance to Pukekura Park is very convenient. The staff was welcoming and the rooms were comfortable with good beds. I especially loved the cozy fireplace in the room, it added a nice touch to my stay.

All was fine, no improvements needed.

I love staying at this backpackers in town. Paula was so helpful and pleasant, making my stay even better. The grounds and facilities are well kept, creating a pleasant atmosphere. The location is awesome, being so close to the city. I always feel welcome here, thanks to the wonderful owners. The decor is vibrant and colourful, creating a cosy vibe. The living room with the fireplace is a great place to relax. It's definitely one of the best backpackers I've ever been to.

It was an incredibly beautiful and quaint hotel in an extra comfy area, next to all the pubs and restaurants, fantastic museum and Close to the centre of New Plymouth.

loved the comfortable and cheerful facilities at ducks & drakes. the staff were wonderful and made me feel instantly at home. the owner's shuttle service to egmont national park made hiking easy and enjoyable. will definitely be returning!

Worn-out bed.

We loved staying at this hotel! Best aspects were the comfortable beds, great location close to everything in the city, and the friendly staff. The hotel facilities were clean and modern, with easy access to public transportation. We also enjoyed a delicious breakfast.

We had a wonderful stay at a lovely boutique motel in New Plymouth. The cottage was spacious with plenty of natural light and equipped with a well-stocked kitchen. The location was perfect, close to the supermarket and not far from the waterfront. The curtains in the room were great at blocking out light for a good night's sleep. I would highly recommend this place for a comfortable and convenient stay.

I had an amazing New Year's experience at this hotel. The complimentary snacks and drinks were a nice touch and the location was right in the heart of the city. The staff were very helpful and accommodating, which made me feel welcomed. I especially enjoyed the gorgeous view from my room.

One thing that I disliked was that the walls were thin and I could hear noise from other rooms. Additionally, the bathroom could have been cleaner.
